Melissa Marino serves as this year’s Campaign Committee Chair.
Melissa and her family have lived in Marysville since 2014. She is the Director of Legal Affairs for Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, OH.
Melissa has been an active member of the UWUC’s campaign committee since 2017 and also participates and volunteers in Bellefontaine groups like AAUW.
She believes giving back where you live and where you work is vital to keeping a community strong.
“Although I am not originally from Union County, Union County is my home and where my husband and I have chosen to raise our children,” Marino said.
“I wanted to become involved with UWUC after learning about what a positive impact the varied partner agencies have and how their services touch everyone and every age.”
Meet Tiffany Davis!
Tiffany is originally from Sidney. She has lived in Union County for 6 years.
Tiffany is a fur momma to 3 pooches and 1 cat. Her husband was born and raised in Richwood and that is currently where they reside.
Along with living in Richwood, Tiffany also works at the Richwood Bank as a Commercial loan processor.
“I recently just joined the United Way of Union County and I have been completely blown away. I love seeing how so many companies come
together for one cause and that is to help and strengthen the community and the ones who live in it. I am so grateful to be part of something so special as United Way of Union County.“
Tiffany helped us raise the heat on our Impact Thermometer this week. We are over halfway through our campaign and not quite to half of our goal! Please consider a donation today,
every little bit helps us fund our 26 local partner agencies!
Meet Betty Hoile!
“I have volunteered with UWUC since 1996 when I assisted in running Honda’s campaign with Kay Miller. I’ve stayed involved since.
My three children would always help on Community Care Day when possible. My oldest daughter is Jessica Wilson, middle child is Amanda Brown and my son is the youngest, William Douglas, he goes by Doug.
Doug works at HRA, my daughter Amanda is a teacher at West Liberty, and my oldest daughter works for Amazon in Miami, FL.”
Betty has worked for Honda for 32 years. She has been a dedicated volunteer of UWUC for nearly 25. Earlier this year we gifted her with a t-shirt quilt (beautifully made by Lyndy Agner)
to commemorate all the Community Care Day events she has helped organize and lead.
Thank you Betty for your commitment to UWUC. You truly LIVE UNITED!
Meet Mandi Mayse!
We are entering the last phase of our campaign and we need to get to 100%!
We are trending behind compared to the last several years. Every. Single. Dollar. Matters.
We are so grateful for dedicated volunteers like Mandi Mayse who will even brave the bitter cold to help us keep track of our campaign’s progress. Thanks Mandi!
Mandi has been a United Way of Union County board member since 2019, serves on the Campaign Committee and volunteers for special events. She works for the
Union County Board of Developmental Disabilities as the Community Relations Coordinator. Mandi enjoys spending her free time with family, including her husband Austin, 6-month-old
daughter, Ember, and stepson, Owen.
Meet Christina McDermott!
Christina and her husband have lived in Marysville since 2006. She is an
IT Business Analyst for Stanley Steemer in Dublin, OH and her husband owns Digital Redefined, a software development small business here in Marysville.
McDermott has been an active member of the UWUC’s campaign committee since 2012 and also has served as the Race Chair
for the Run United races for the past 3 years. Growing up a daughter of a Police Officer, being a public servant and giving back has always been important.
In her leisure time, Christina enjoys running and volunteering as a hot air balloon crew member.
“My husband and I are both originally from two different states, but Union County is most certainly our home. We fell in love with the
people and the small town atmosphere that reminded us of where we both come from.” McDermott said, “I first learned about UWUC from my
previous employer, Nationwide. I volunteered with Community Care Day and that’s where my love for this organization began. Through single contributions
to the United Way we’re able to collectively make an impact on our partner agencies. I love the passion and pride we have here in Union County and look forward to
continuing to see our county thrive!”
